Preparing for the Anointing of the Sick

Lord Jesus, you sent your apostles to anoint the sick with oil and to heal them. Prepare my heart to receive this sacrament. Let your grace do what no medicine can: strengthen my soul, forgive my sins, and give me peace and courage.

If it is your will, restore my health. If it is not, unite me with you, and help me to trust. Bless the priest who comes in your name, and the loved ones who pray beside me. Amen.
