Terms of use
Plain English: how you can use pastor.care, what you get when you buy, and what we can't promise.
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Using the site
Pastor.Care (“the site”) is operated by NewCulture Consulting, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“we”). By using the site or buying from it, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You must be an adult to buy.
What this site is not
- Not counseling. pastor.care helps with words, rites and logistics. It does not diagnose, treat or counsel. See what that means. If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 (the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911.
- Not legal advice. Officiant rules differ by state and change. The legal checklist in the Officiant Script Builder and the guides on this site are starting points. Confirm the requirements with the official source (usually the county clerk) before the ceremony. Nothing here is a lawyer's advice, and using it does not make us your lawyer.
- Not tax advice. Pages about clergy pay and housing allowance are educational. Check the IRS publications we cite and talk to a qualified tax professional.
- Not medical advice. Prayers and hospital-visit guides are not a substitute for medical care.
- Not a church or a pastor. The editor is not clergy. Where pages carry a pastor reviewer, that is described on the reviewers page, and a review is not a guarantee that your church or tradition will do things the same way.
Buying
Prices are shown in US dollars on the product and shop pages and are charged once unless a product says otherwise. Payment is processed by Stripe. You receive a receipt from Stripe, and your download link or tool access on the page after payment and by email.
- Downloads (templates and kits): you get a download link that works for 7 days. Ask us for a fresh one any time, at no charge.
- Writing tools (Eulogy Writer, Officiant Script Builder): each purchase includes 3 generations, meaning one full draft and two revisions. Access is saved in the browser where you open your link for 90 days. Use the link in your order email to unlock it on another browser. The Lay Funeral Leader Kit includes the Eulogy Writer.
- Seasonal and upcoming products (Pastor Appreciation Month items, Care Calendar Pro) are shown on the shop but can't be bought until they open.
Refunds
30-day no-questions refund. Email hello@pastor.care with the address you ordered with and we'll refund the purchase. Refunds end your access to the tool or download.
What you can do with what you buy
You may use templates, scripts and drafts for your own family, your own event or service, or the congregation or organization you serve, including printing and editing them. You may not resell, redistribute or publish them as your own product, or share your download link or tool access with people outside your family or church team.
Prayers and Scripture on the site are labeled by tradition. We quote public-domain Bible translations (such as the KJV, WEB, ASV and Douay-Rheims) and name them. Other content on the site is ours, and the names and marks are ours.
AI-written drafts
- Drafts from the writing tools are produced by an AI model from the answers you give. They can contain mistakes, including wrong facts or awkward phrasing. Read every draft aloud and check every detail before you use it. You are responsible for what you say and print.
- You own your answers and your drafts. You give us permission to send your answers to our AI provider to write the draft, and nothing else. We don't keep them. See the privacy policy.
- Please don't enter medical details, cause of death, financial account numbers or passwords. We don't need them.
- Drafts are not guaranteed to be unique, and similar drafts may be produced for other people.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break or overload it, to get around the limits on the writing tools, to scrape it in bulk, or to use it to harass, deceive or harm anyone.
No warranty, and limits on liability
We work hard to be accurate and useful, but the site and everything on it is provided “as is,” without promises that it is error-free, always available, or fits your particular situation. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product involved. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have by law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If we have a disagreement, write to us first at hello@pastor.care and we will try to sort it out within 30 days. Any claim that can't be resolved that way will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you and we each consent to those courts. If you are a consumer in a place whose law gives you the right to sue at home or under your own law, nothing here takes that away.
General
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor that takes over the site.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. Questions: hello@pastor.care, or NewCulture Consulting, LLC, 101 Claire Dr, Clayton, NC 27520.
