Lord, I'm about to walk into a room where someone is hurting. I don't have all the words. Let me listen more than I talk. Make me gentle, unhurried and honest. If it's right to pray aloud, give me the courage to do it simply. Let the person I visit feel your care through mine, and let me leave them a little less alone. Amen.
