For a long hospital stay

Lord, the days here run together: the vitals at dawn, the rounds, the trays, the lights that never really go off. Help me find a rhythm. Give me small things to look forward to: a visitor, a window, a good cup of tea.

Keep my spirit from shrinking to the size of this room. Heal what needs healing, and let me go home when it's time, a little wiser and very thankful. Amen.
