For a husband or wife who is sick

Lord, I promised to love in sickness and in health. I didn't know what the sickness would look like. Give me what I need to keep that promise with a whole heart.

Heal the one I love. Where you don't heal quickly, make me a good caregiver and teach me to ask for help. Let us find laughter again somewhere in this. Let us not lose each other while we fight this. Amen.
