For pain that will not let up

Lord, the pain has been here a long time, and it is wearing us thin. Ease it. Give the doctors the right answers, and give the medicine the strength to work.

On the nights when nothing helps, be nearer than the dark. Let rest come, even if it comes in small pieces. You know what this costs. Carry what we can't. Amen.
