For the surgeon and the surgical team

God of wisdom, you give skill to those who heal. Bless the surgeon who will operate on our loved one today, and every nurse, technician and anesthesiologist in the room.

Give them clear minds, steady hands and complete attention. Let them see what needs to be seen and do what needs to be done. Guard against fatigue and mistakes. Make their work a gift, and let this person wake up well.

Thank you for those who give their lives to this kind of service. Amen.
