For a friend you can't visit

Lord, there are miles between my friend and me, and I wish I could hand them a hot meal and sit by their side. Since I can't, please be my hands and my voice. Be at their door when the day is long. Remind them that they are on many hearts, and let this prayer go ahead of any message I send. Amen.
