For a friend on the long road back

Lord, everyone sent flowers in the first week, and now the house is quiet and my friend is still getting better. Be near in the quiet part. Give them patience with a body that heals slowly, and encouragement for each good day.

Remind me to call, to drop by, to keep showing up. Amen.
