For a friend who has lost hope

God, my friend is tired. The hope they used to carry so easily has worn thin, and they can't pray right now. So I'm praying for them.

Meet them where they are, not where they think they should be. Send them a small sign today, such as a kind word, a bit of sun or a good meal, that tells them they have not been forgotten. Hold the hope for them until their hands can hold it again.

And let me be a window, not a wall, when I visit. Amen.
