Healing for someone far away

Lord, I can't be in the room. I can't hold the hand or bring the soup. So I put my love into the one thing I can do: I'm asking you.

Be where I can't be. Sit by the bed, ease the pain, stand with the nurses at the door. Let the person I love feel that they are not alone, even if they can't say why. And give me peace in the distance. Amen.
