Opening prayer for a healing novena
Almighty and merciful God, for the next nine days I come to you with one intention: the healing of (name). You know the need before I speak it, but you invite me to ask, and so I ask.
Give me perseverance, so that I do not stop praying when the days are long. Give me trust, so that I rest in you when I cannot see the outcome. Give me charity, so that I serve those around me while I wait.
With Mary, Health of the Sick, and all the saints who loved the suffering, I place this petition in your heart. Your will be done. Amen.
