Before an operation
O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, who heal every sickness and every infirmity: guide the hand of the surgeon and bless the work of the physicians. Grant me a good sleep, a calm heart and a safe awakening.
Through the prayers of the Theotokos, of the holy healers Cosmas and Damian, and of Saint Panteleimon, deliver your servant from fear, and preserve me in your peace. Glory to you, O God, glory to you. Amen.
