O Father of mercies and God of all comfort

Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need: look down from heaven, we humbly ask, and see, visit and relieve your servant for whom we pray.

Look on them with the eyes of your mercy. Comfort them with a sense of your goodness. Keep them from the temptations of the enemy, and give them patience in their affliction.

In your good time, restore them to health, and help them to live out their days to your glory. And grant that at the last they may dwell with you in life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
