Recovery after an accident

Lord, one moment changed everything: the call, the sirens, the hospital lights. Thank you that this life was kept. Now we ask for the long work of healing.

Mend what is broken — bone, muscle, nerve. Be patient with every setback. Guard against fear of the road, the stairs, the thing that happened. Give the physical therapists skill and give us all the stubbornness to keep going.

Let this slow season teach us to lean on you and on each other. Amen.
